Seventh & James Baptist Church
Progressive Christians. Classic Church.
A Season of Change,
A Community of Hope
At Seventh & James, we’re in a season of transition.
After many years in our historic sanctuary, we’ve begun an exciting new chapter: making space for a new church sanctuary back on the corner of Seventh and James. Our new sanctuary will support the life and ministry of our congregation for generations to come.
While construction is underway, our worship and ministry gatherings continue in the Melton Building. We are grateful for your flexibility as our campus changes around us.
Parking & Getting Here
We know construction and shifting access points can make getting here feel a little more complicated than usual.
Here’s what to know:
- The front of the Melton Building on James Avenue remains accessible
- Limited street parking is available
- Additional parking is available in the lots next to Waco Hall and the Bobo Spiritual Life Center
- Parking is available in the back parking lot behind the Leuschner Building. The sidewalk along Seventh St. will lead you into the Seventh campus.
- We ask that the closest parking on James Ave. be reserved for those with mobility concerns.
This season may look different, but what makes Seventh & James home has never been our buildings—it’s the people, the welcome, and the work God is doing among us.
Thank you for walking this road with us. We can’t wait to see what we’ll build together.
About Seventh
Seventh & James Baptist Church seeks to be a community focused on the worship of God, responding to God’s grace as expressed in Jesus Christ, and, as we discern, guided by the Holy Spirit. As such, we strive to be a caring community which nurtures Christian growth and fellowship and reflects God’s love in unity and diversity. We believe God’s love does not discriminate or diminish based on things like race, wealth, sexual orientation, gender identity, marital status, or mental capacity; therefore, neither do we. We accept our calling to be proclaimers of the Good News as we minister to each other, to the local community, and to the world.
